Templars Barn Wedding Show

Hi everyone,

Just back from a day off yesterday. Took Mr Jones to a spa to celebrate his birthday! It was actually on Sunday but as he was helping me out at the Templars Wedding Show, I felt I owed him! Anyway, great day, relaxing spa and bbq in the evening- perfect!

Thought I would share all from the Templars Wedding Show......

The West Berkshire Wedding Show was held at Templars Barn - just outside Hungerford. It's a great country venue, very rustic, but can be hired out exclusively so you have the whole place and carte blanche to create the wedding of your dreams. It really is a blank canvas and that's its big appeal so you can have anything from a traditional wedding breakfast to your own tea party or hog roast- almost anything goes! You have free reign to organise every last detail here. In fab weather, as it was on Sunday, there is really nothing like it and the views are fantastic too!

So, back to Sunday. There were approx 30 top suppliers in attendance, everything from catering companies to invitation and cake makers and photographers! Mrs Jones Bridal Boutique (and Mr Jones) attended- we dressed the barn and took along a couple of friends to show off, namely Casablanca and Ella who were displayed on mannequins as well as a few other dresses to offer a taste of our collections.

We met lots of lovely local suppliers who we hadn't met before. We enjoyed eating cakes with The Little Thatcham Cake Co (Mr J had 3 - well it was his birthday!!) but they really were out of this world! and it was great to meet so many lovely bride to be from Hungerford, Marlborough, Swindon etc...
We were kept busying chatting to brides and it was nice to hear that many of them had already heard of us and were planning a visit anyway!

The day had clay pigeon shooting (which kept Mr J entertained) and lots of champers and nibbles! A very enjoyable day!

Come back and read the blog again soon - 'Royal Wedding Fever' is gripping us. Our FAB Royal Wedding Window is now up and being photographed tomorrow so will be posted shortly! Bunting at the ready.....

  2. Hi, Sorry for delay in replying. Short answer is I don't know. I think so, as I have brides getting married there later this year but I see they have recently taken down their website so will have to look into it!
